Singapore to Groom IT Security Experts

News on TV & Radio last night reported that the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) is enhancing its collaboration with various institutes of higher learning to prepare the next generation of IT security professionals. The Singapore Infocomm Technology Security Authority, (SITSA), an agency under the MHA, signed memorandum of understanding with the NUS, SMU and TP. The MOUs cover a wide spectrum of cooperation from development of courseware for IT security modules, to undertaking of joint research projects.

It was reported that TP is launching a Centre of Digital Security Investigations, which will provide a practical training ground for students to be trained in the areas of incident response, monitoring and artefact analysis.
